Should have been busy working. Have instead been busy procrastinating.

Okay, not really. I've done all my work on time and to a reasonable degree of thoroughness, but I'm not ahead like I wanted to be. Part of the reason for my lack of motivation has to do with the fact that I'm missing my friends. I keep wanting to see people who are currently in the not-Edinburgh part of the world. It's very annoying.

And though I really like the people I've met here, it's difficult trying to be on best behaviour. Keeping my temper in check has not been the easiest task ever; nor has it been simple trying to keep the high-pitched rants from taking over when I feel strongly about something. And remember that I am now on a publishing course, i.e. talking about books all the time, i.e. constantly engaged in an activity very dear to my heart...

In other news, I really really like setting up pages in Quark. It's fun to have such a creative role in what is, essentially, putting words to paper. I feel all geeky - and I don't think the teacher likes me, because he took it the wrong way when I said I was having fun. I think he believed it to be sarcastic. *sigh*

Random fact: Did you know that 6,500 magazines are published in the UK, at a conservative estimate? Wow.
