"IIII liked it," Kenzi said contentedly, one arm through his. "The heroine kicked ass, the new guy was hot and snarky, and I want those toys."

"This is my shocked face," his shocked face looked remarkably like his 'fondly amused' face.

"You know what to get me for Valentine's Day now!" Kenzi grinned, and squeezed his hand. "Soooo. We ready for the special part of the trip?"

"You mean Tom Cruise wasn't special enough for you?" Toby smirked.

"All trips should pay for themselves!" Kenzi leaned out from their joined hands, then leaned in. "'Sides. You're here. He's not." And you're superpowered!

"It's not a superpower," Toby said, in the tone of someone who'd had this conversation before. "It's just... I dunno. An extra sense, really. You won't catch me in tights and a cape anytime soon, anyway," he wrinkled his nose at her.

"Awwwww," Kenzi pouted. Then grinned. "Leather jacket? Leather pants? You can be the anti-hero!"

"...I might be willing to go with the leather jacket," Toby relented. "I kinda always wanted a motorcycle one day anyway, so it'd fit with the image."

"Woooo," Kenzi said blissfully, and put her chin on his shoulder. "I like that image." Lots!

"I thought you might," Toby smirked. "Anyway; you wanna pick a mark?" he murmured quietly, gesturing to the throng of fellow movie-theatre patrons spilling out into the street with them.

"Hmmmmmmmm." Kenzi's eyes wandered over the crowd, then zeroed in on an older guy with a younger woman. He was about forty, looking smug; she looked only a couple years older than her and Toby, staring at him, impressed and dazzled. "Him. That watch of his, that looks like one of those pricey sport watches. The shoes are expensive, and that coat is designer," she said, keeping her voice down. "What's in his happy little brain?"

Up until this point, Toby had been doing his best to focus on keeping other people's thoughts to background noise at most. But now, he took a deep breath and began to 'listen'.

Gonna be late wish I'd seen that movie about the zoo it's too bad Tom Cruise is crazy now wonder if she'll call me ugh I hope he doesn't expect me to call him shouldn't have had the shrimp...

"Well, that's interesting," Toby remarked casually, quickening his stride so they could keep pace with him. "Good choice."

"Oooooooo?" Kenzi bounced and sped up, looking nonchalant after a second. "He's not just thinking about getting her back to his place?"

"He's more focused on a storage locker across town," Toby shared. "See how he keeps putting his free hand in his jacket pocket?" he pointed out. "That's where the key is. Think you can get close enough to snatch it?"

Kenzi beamed and said, "Watch and marvel, Antihero." She kissed his cheek, then bopped forward, staying in the guy's blind spot. Waaaiting for him to take his hand out of his pocket. Breathe. Breathe.

Forward, dip, grab, step back and into the next alley, not even looking a what was in her hand.

Toby stayed back, watching out of the corner of his eye so as not to draw attention to either himself or Kenzi, and then doubled back to the same alley Kenzi had headed towards, once he was sure the man and his... friend... had moved on down the street.

"I'm impressed," he gave a low whistle, and then sauntered up to offer a quick kiss on her cheek.
