Fic rec
We interrupt our regular scheduled lurking for a fic rec. It's not often I'm moved to rec a story - there are others who do it far better and certainly more frequently than I. HOWEVER I just read a stunning story by an author who I absolutely adore. Her 'Bond' was the second ever H/D story I read and was largely responsible for my conversion to the joys of reading slash. Yes, it's by annafugazzi and no, it's not H/D. It's Draco/Asteria, a pairing which has held no interest for me whatsoever. But having been converted to the joys of 'Weasleyism' by this lady's writing, I thought I'd give it a go. The story is The House That Cedric Built and it follows two periods in time - the 'Seventh Year' at Hogwarts and 2017, the year Scorpius first goes to school. It's a fantastic story, showing the gradual evolution of Draco and Asteria's relationship alongside the equally gradual evolution of the wizarding world . I loved it. I can't tell you how much.
