(no subject)
I've been up since 5:00 this morning because I couldn't sleep that last hour, knowing it was the last time for the next few weeks that AJ and I would be sleeping in the same bed. I know it's sappy, but it's true. =) Turns out that AJ woke up at the same time and had trouble falling back asleep for the same reasons, but he managed to doze a couple of times before the alarm went off at about 5:45. I've showered, eaten breakfast, and now I need to brush my teeth, do a bit more packing, and get on the road. There's a light dusting outside. It's funny that our first snow is the same day as this road trip, but it's not much, and I just traded in my car last weekend for one with all wheel drive, so I imagine my new Subaru can handle it. If not, words will be exchanged...
New possible plan for the weekend of the 11th is not to go to Staunton but rather stay over at Carolyn's in Greensboro, and AJ drive up over the three-day weekend. It's cheaper on me, Carolyn, and Leo (sorry, Richard), and then AJ and I don't have to spend too long away from each other. I have to talk with Carolyn to see what she and Leo think though.
And I'm out.
