***Don't forget to listen to my voice post that I posted just before this one.***
Look at what Dorene made for me!
She plays with photographs in MS Paint. It takes her weeks to do it.
There's the original.
I spent most of Tuesday without AJ, because he left at about 11:00 to ride the metro to school to meet up with his fellow group members about a paper before going to his three-hour class and then his four-hour shift at work. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, he's gone until about 10:00 in the evening. I managed to keep myself busy though, but instead of playing the role of Housewife, like I did on Monday, I played the role of Couch Potato, which suited me just fine. I goofed off online and watched cable television for hours. I watched Married with Children, Golden Girls (those two should never be in the same sentence ever again), Drew Carey, Yes Dear, Friends, Everybody Loves Raymond, and a little bit of Law & Order. I'm such a dork.
Yesterday totally made up for Tuesday. AJ and I spent the whole day together. He couldn't go to his internship because he was to meet a patient at this psych ward somewhere in Maryland for an interview. He was going to leave the apartment at 1:30 and intend to be back by 6:00. He didn't want to be away from me for that long though, so he lied and said that I was an intern too, only I was new and not working on the case. It was a nice drive up there. Even with all the horrific traffic, we managed to entertain ourselves.
For instance, I told AJ about my
unfunny joke, which you'll know when you listen to the voice post. ;) Oh, and Maryland is so beautiful. I didn't really like waiting for AJ at the psych ward. At first, I was sitting in the waiting room with the patients, but a nurse asked me to sit at the nurses station, so I did that. I kept myself entertained by reading the paper and starting over on American Gods, since I hadn't picked it up in months. Then AJ and I took the scenic route back to Arlington, and then we made our way to see Megan before KC got out of class. Then we all got those new sundaes from McDonald's and ate them while watching Hostel and Jesus Christ: Vampire Hunter over at Megan and KC's new apartment. So yesterday was a fun-filled day spent with my beau.
Today has been semi-productive. AJ and I watched some Carlos Mencia and some Scare Tactics on his computer while getting laundry started. We had lunch, and then AJ left for his long day of class and work. I finished up with the laundry and brought it back here. There were a few towels and a couple of pairs of shorts that weren't completely dry, but they weren't worth another $1.25 to wash for an hour, so I just lay them on some chairs, and they're fine now. I called my mom and talked to her while putting away laundry. I've been online all day, talking to Candice briefly, then to Samantha, Gretchen, Amanda, and Tim. I washed dishes. And I'm wearing AJ's clothes! At first, I was putting away clothes, and I saw this cute spelling bee shirt of his from when he was in middle school, and I had to put it on. Then I was folding shorts not too long ago and saw that I could fit them, and so I'm wearing them.
I can't believe it's already almost 4:00. Not sure what I'm going to do next. May veg out in front of the television. Hey, it's my vacation. I can do what I want.
Lata, dawgs. Don't overlook my voice post. It's silleh.
