So let's start off with my dream. I dreamt that Christopher Lloyd was a crazy uncle of mine. I thought it was so awesome but couldn't figure out how he was related to me, since my aunts are married. Maybe he married some unknown or little known great-aunt? Maybe his craziness gave him the impression that he was related to us when he wasn't. I wanted to get to know him before he regained enough sense to realize that he wasn't actually a member of our family. I was talking to my brother Daniel about movies he was in, and then I started talking about Christopher Walken. "Yah, he was cool in Wedding Crashers. Wait, that's not Christopher Lloyd at all."
I woke up, didn't want to get up, lay in bed until 7:30, got ready, went to work. I made fliers (flyers?) for the RCA Coffee/Tea Party and dispersed them throughout Mary Foust upon getting off of work.
I met up with Megan for lunch at the Caf, and we sat with fellow geeks and then meandered to College Ave, where Megan had a cancer stick, and we talked about the origins of our low levels of self-esteem before she wandered to an artsy lab in McIver to work on a video for one of her classes.
I headed for the dorm, where I saw Jen, Lemone, Devin, and Amanda sitting outside. Apparently, they needed help getting Amanda inside, so I offered to help, since she's not heavy. Between the four of us, three could hold her easily while one could open the door. And that's just how it happened. And no injuries either.
Soon after, Devin and I wandered to Eberhart, so I could pick up my PSY 471 paper, which wasn't there. Then we went to McIver to pick up his portfolio, which he aced. Huzzah! Then we went to Tate Street Coffee, since I was craving a giant cup of coffee. I got an iced cafe mocha, which was absolutely delish. We looked at the art on display from the community coffee art show that I never submitted anything to (I kind of regret that). My favorite one- the one with a rubber ducky floating in a cup of coffee- seems to have been sold. Le sigh. My second favorite is the one that is a photograph of an illuminated sign that reads "Worms and Coffee." It's being sold for $75 though. Then we went back to Eberhart, and my paper was there. I made an 85 on it. Woot.
We headed back to Jen's room, where I decided to rest on her bed while others were socializing or zoning out. Gretchen talked about her date last night and left to text him. Lemone and I sang a song after she left. "Gretchen got her mack on! Gretchen gets her mack on! Gretchen's gonna get her mack on! *techno sounds and jigs ensue*" I took some pictures of people before heading back to my room to chill for a bit before going to work. I want to document my last few days as best as I can. As if my journal isn't enough.
I went to my room and checked UNCGenie to see if my PSY 471 grade was up. It said I made a D. What? I have not made a D since my first semester here nearly five full years ago, and that was in Stats 108. I know there's a glitch or some other kind of error that has been made, because I made an 86 on the first test, and 81 on the second test, and 85 on the paper, I have 12 points of extra credit due to showing up to class, and I feel certain I made at least an 80 (I felt like I made a 90 when I took it though) on the final. I did the math, and the only way I could have made a D in the class was to not take the final at all. AJ theorized that perhaps my final got misplaced. I e-mailed Dr McKnight about this, and I feel my grades, as well as my extra credit (which indicates I went to class regularly), will speak for themselves, showing that I'm not some slacker who slept through the final. I studied, I showed up, and I took that test. So we'll see what happens with that.
On my way to work, I saw Mac from a distance on the sidewalk from the EUC towards Bryan, so I tried calling her to no avail. I called her again, also to no avail. She crossed the street to the Bryan building and then turned the corner to head to Yum Yums. As I crossed the street, I yelled, "MICHELLE!" No answer. Damn. I was in the midst of sending a text message when Devon asked to borrow my cell phone, so I decided that I'd just IM her, and she'd be in her room shortly if that was indeed her, which I later found out it was. "I thought I heard someone call my name."
Four more hours of work. Time has been going by quickly lately.
Edit at 9:26pm: Looks like he lost my final after all.
