Today is Good Karma Day

I've decided that today is Good Karma Day, because mainly good things have come of this day, mainly revolving around the theme of getting what you give. So I gave Angie some money, which I hope is helpful. Later, I was helping out this one guy in the lab. He needed to figure out how to make footnotes on Microsoft Word. I said, "Sure!" I had no clue how to do it. My job is to either know it or learn it. So I said, "I'm gonna cheat," and I pulled up the Help menu, which this guy got a real kick out of, giggling and giving me an amused shove in the arm. His good mood rubbed off on me. I found out that footnotes are found from Insert, hover over Reference, and then select Footnote. Fantabulous. He was so giddy. Then he needed to print but only have seven cents left, so I lent him my card. He gave me a dollar to pay for the printing. Aw!

Samantha asked me if I had dinnah plans, which I did not have. I said that we should go to the Caf, since I'm down to $18 of declining balance. Later, she said to me that she was going to take me out as a graduation present for me. "Where would you like to go on Tate Street?" "Hmm..." "If you're having trouble deciding, I recommend Filet o' Soul." I'd never been there. 'Twas wonderful. I had fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, green beans, and I ordered cornbread but couldn't eat it. Oh, and I had some pancreas-crushing sweet tea.

I did get a bit flustered earlier today. See, RCA has a coffee/tea party in Mary Foust on Wednesday evening, and I thought Michelle was going shopping. I sent an e-mail a couple of weeks ago, and either she forgot with all the stuff she has going on or e-Spartan ate it, because she didn't recall my mentioning it to her, and she couldn't do it with everything else she has going on. I felt like I was in a bit of a bind, but I'm usually free Monday nights, and I was free after dinner with Samantha, so I decided I'd go then. I invited Samantha along, and it's a good thing I did, because she had a VIC card for Harris Teeter, so the total of my purchases wound up being something like $13. I got a few different kinds of coffee, some coffee filters, and some Lipton-ish tea. Jen had a fit over the tea, haha. She's bringing a few different kinds, and Michelle and I have some chai. Mike says we have a variety of tea over at Mary Foust, so I wasn't too concerned with tea. Oh, I also got some Equal. I would have gotten Splenda, but it was $4 a box, which was silly. So everything worked out. Michelle and I determined that somewhere, we had a breakdown of communication, so all is well with that too.

So we get what we give. Help out others, others got your back. Communicate effectively, things make sense. Get things done, things get done.

Happy Good Karma Day. =)
