Anyhoo, I went job hunting online. I found a shady job opening for an Internet Researcher (linked for those who are interested in seeing what I saw). They train you for the type of research you would conduct, but it would be a work-from-home sort of thing, and the salary would be $70,000 a year. And all you need is an Associate Degree, and it doesn't even specify in what. So wait... I could stay at home and get rich? What seems to be the catch? I searched for some fine print that read, "You hereby give your soul to Satan," or something along those lines. It just seemed too good. I called my mom about it, and she said that it's probably something illegal like spamming people. And I added that the company that posted the job opening is listed as confidential. She said, "There ya go. You don't want that." No, I don't. However, I did see what could potentially be a nifty part-time job as a Market Research Assistant, which I have linked just now... so hover over "Market Research Assistant" if you can't see that that is a link. And click it if you care. Which you do. In case you were wondering. To apply, of course, one would need a resume. Last year, I had uploaded a sloppily-made one, so I decided today that it was high time I made a good one. My friend Mike helped me, in that he suggested that I just use Monster to help me instead of MS Word, and so I did. I think my resume rocks. I actually feel confident about it. I listed one of my target jobs as being a Research Assistant, because that sounds swanky. I'm not really sure what I want, so I couldn't think of many titles. I just know when I see something I like. But "Research Assistant" is as good a place to start as any. I considered putting down "Sleep Technician" as well, because that sounds just awesome. But I'd like to sleep at night, otherwise my contact with the outside world would be very minimal. Anyway, we'll see how it all goes. I'm effin excited.
