shopping and sewing....and an awesome teacher too!
So my troupemate (who is an AMAZING seamstress) and I went fabric shopping at SAS this morning. She'd seen some embroidered silks, and thought it would be fun to go back and see what's there (not to mention we've been meaning to have a SAS day for awhile now)...
I found two fabrics to make "melodia-esque" pants and a matching top, and she found some silk to make a 1950s-style party dress for a friend's wedding and some organza for a lining/underskirt.
Soooo, next Saturday she's coming over, bringing her sewing machine & serger - I'll have my sewing machine and my mom's serger...and we're gonna SEW! woo!
I'm SO lucky to have her willing to help me, and teach me how to use the serger.
