The Flyer's won a game. THE FLYER'S WON A GAME. No you're not reading that as a typo, they actually won in overtime during the shoot out. It was actually a real hockey game. The best part was during the OT there was a little over a minute left and the refs. were even helping the Flyers. The Flyer's definitly should have had at least 3 penalties that I saw and even the annoucer called them to attention but the refs were so desperate for a win they went blind. It was beautiful. So the new change in coaching and managment may have been a good step in the right direction. Then again it was the Thrashers, we'll see if this team spirit holds on on Sunday after they play the Pens.
Last night was a great night personally as well. Sometimes we all just need one good night of alone time and I finally got mine last night. I decided to walk home after work. I picked up the Spam-a-lot tickets, and got great seats. Then walked up Chestnut. I randomly heard Rob Thomas coming from inside a store so I walked in. Here, it was a homemade chocolate shoppe. It smelled like I was literally walking into the chocolate. It is what you imagine smelling while watching Charlie and the Chocolate factory. Oh my God and I was smelling the raspberry fillings with the peanut butter and chocolate, and pumpkin all at once but yet individually. Obviously my mouth was watering and the woman did not need to ask me twice if I needed assistance. So of course I bought a pound of assorted chocolates. They were so amazing! They were the best american chocolates I had ever tasted. Although for all I know they were made with German chocolate. It's possible, they were that tasty. So then I continued walking and enjoying the fall weather and my new Charles Klein coat. I came upon this bookstore that I ALWAYS pass and never go into. So I thought what the hell? I walked in and they were playing great piano music and as I was browsing all the books the music kept intensifying it was so awesome. It was also on of those really old bookstores were the wood creaks because you're breathing and the smell is that of old paper and cedar...I loved it! I wasn't seeing anything of interest until a burnt orange colored cover caught my eye "101 Damnations" Okay if that doesn't sound intersting to you then you annoy me. I started checking it out and discovered that this book was literally like Chicken Soup for the 'I hate society' person's soul. 101 different humorists from around the country were asked to write about what in everyday life makes their days hellish. Well let me just say I was laughing out loud almost the whole time I was reading this. It's such a sarcastic book! All of it is true too, we all hate walking down the crowded streets and the person in front of you is taking a leisurly stroll and being completely oblivious to the hurried people around. So the author takes on a humorous insight and complains. It's just great.
Well I'm off to start the weekend. Apparently I'm going on a date tonight, which would be nice since I haven't actually been on one in a long time.
