(no subject)
Well we had quite the Memorial Day weekend. Saturday, Chris and I bought our first car. I had been driving the same car since I was 16, and it just wasn't worth the price to fix it anymore. So we got a beautiful new 2012 Ford Focus and I am just thrilled! It's so pretty and shiny. Hope we will still have enough money after bills for a second car eventually (maybe a lease?) and a puppy.
But the better news was that Sarah was in town from London and I got to spend the whole day with her yesterday!!!! We braved the heat and humidity to view the monuments of DC and then even got to have dinner with my friend Kate who is in DC for the summer. I truly wish there was not an ocean between me and Sarah--I've missed her SO much!!! She was also our first officially house guest AND our first passenger in the new car. We invite the rest of you to come join us now :)
I'm so happy that this is a short work week. The class I taught today (and tomorrow) only has one person in it. And let me tell you, that is an awkward classroom when it's just me and one other person. Can't wait for it to be over.
Also, can't believe tomorrow is June. Seriously, where'd the time go???
