The proof's in the belief. If strange and interesting and miraculous things happen to some people, then they're possible. Why not a Tanabata wish?

I can't believe that there is truly some thing out there that will just grant your wishes for you just like that. The world is the kind of place in which if you want something, you have to work for it yourself.

Even so, that doesn't mean it's bad to make an effort to state a wish to begin with. If you really want it you'll work for it later.
