Theater: This is how I met my husband. I had always been a passing fan of all the most heard of shows, but Shawn helped develop it into a real love for me. We took a few classes together, did a few shows for elementary schools and he worked with a lockal theater group for awhile, now we mostly enjoy from the seats. I've seen some fabulous theater including my top 3 favorites, Shenandoah *cough don't ask how many times I've seen it cough*, Les Miserables, and Wicked. I've been to a number of incredible theaters large, small, historic, newly opened and dream of getting to see a show on Boradway one day.
Cross-Stitch: My newest obsession hobby. I got started because I was really impressed with a friends work and with a little encouragement from a pro stitcher *wink* have now joined an LJ community and moved on to attempting my own photo templates. I simply adore it!
Scott Bakula: My first love! I was 12, he was....on TV :) My massive adoration culminated in getting to meet the man during *ahem* a number of performances at Ford's. I have met a lot of really crazed fans who take it to a completely insane level, but also have met some of my greatest friends mcfly85 bluetoille and that outweighs the crazies by a load!! It's nice to see something lasting come out of a school girl crush.
Work: Well I used to be a paralegal *read as slave*, but after 9 years of working sometimes 21 hours a day and being grossly underpaid, I was laid off. This transitioned nicely into a position with a corporate office who manages post secondary proprietary institutes and who shows an abundance of appreciation for the accreditation ork I do for them. It's very freeing to get to do something you really enjoy and now that I have returned to my first love (education) I'm very happy. Life takes you on many twists and turns, but sometimes if you just hold on and go for the ride you find out that you end up right where you never knew you wanted to be. ;)
Fantasy: Well I like fantasy art and I like fantasy/sci-fi literature and so I combined it all and began writing fanfiction about 4 years ago. I have one epic under my belt and am half way through the second. Next a fanfic on QL. I think a great imagination and an openess to believe can help you make it through the all too real times. it's my escape... and it's cheaper than therapy!
