I tagged along with Bec's work earlier this week. As a bush lawyer she does the rounds of Aboriginal communities. I got free accommodation, a spectacular plane flight, got to see Kakadu for the first time, and first hand experience of Aboriginal communities. Random recent photos. I'm without a camera here, seeing as it's Bec's, but have a new mobile phone with a 2MP camera that my parents palmed off on me. I can hook the phone up with USB, and put games and ebooks and ringtones and music off the net on, so cool! Yay consumerism! I camped at Litchfield NP south of Darwin for a few days with Bec (who was going crazy at work and needed a break). Soooo awesome to get out bush. My first gleeful night out of Darwin, as I don't have a car here (we rented a bubble car - I really want a 4WD to properly explore the Territory but even a beaten up yet reliable one costs more money ( Read more... )
