I quit my job today.
See subject line. Technically, I quit yesterday, but since my boss extended his vacation by a day, I couldn't tell anyone I'd quit until I'd told him, so I had quit, but no one knew it. (If a tree falls in a forest, and its boss isn't around to hear it, did it really quit?)
I've spent almost ten years at this job. I'm going to work for a former boss at a closely related company (I'm a regulator now!) but it's still super weird. My direct supervisor is NOT happy, and I feel bad about that. But I think it's the right move for me. But it's still weird.
