Hi from sunny Jerusalem!
Didn't have time to post in advance of the really long flight, but hi, hubby and I are in Israel, running around doing the tourist and visit-the-sister thing. Hadn't really planned to come during a war, but a) I booked the tickets six months ago, and apparently they don't tell you these things in advance, and b) you woudn't know it from being here. Tomorrow we'll drive down to Masada (through the West Bank, but I am given to understand that that is fine) and will hike the mountain Wednesday morning and come back to Jlem by way of the Dead Sea, with a dip if it's warm enough. Having a nifty time, but I was spiritually disappointed in the Old City. I liked it better when I was a teenager.
