Round One of Layoffs...

Apr 01, 2009 09:51

So yesterday the first round of layoffs began at work.  I think over 250 people were layed off from the Home Office here.  I was a bit weird to see people come over to say good-bye.  This morning the parking lot was really empty.

Things at work are starting to pick up.  We are finally starting to package up the documents and databases to send over to US Bank.  Still only work about 1-2 hours a day Max.  The rest of the time we are just sitting around watching TV or Movies.  But as the end nears things are going to start getting crazy.

Things at home are going good.  Went and saw my Nephew/God Son play T-Ball last weekend.  It was great to see him play.  Not sure who is having more fun though, him playing or my Brother who is coaching.  Also saw some people I had not seen in forever.  The coach of the other team was the brother of a guy I went to elementary school with.  Daisy was a big hit at the game, all the kids had to come by and meet her.

She is doing so well.  She has her moments but overall she really fits in well with our family.

J is going to go to Tulsa for 6 days during Easter weekend.  So it's just going to be me and the dogs for a few days.  Going to my family's for Easter Dinner.

Last I heard from my work they want me to stay until Mid to Late August.  Once again I don't really have a say in it because that carrot they are dangling in front of me is too big to not just go along for now.

Hopefully I have a line on tickets to see Avenue Q tomorrow.  I really hope this lady writes back, she has amazing tickets and she is selling them for below face value!
