Just a quick update because I have to get ready to see Owen Pallett tonight! Huzzah! I am very excited to finally see this amazing man (even if I am going by myself), especially after what happened when he first toured Australia (my going to MGMT instead. Biggest. Regret. Ever).
Anywho, I saw The National last week and they were flawless. There's something very moving, emotionally, hearing Matt's baritone live. It's gorgeous. Would have been a perfect show if I hadn't been way back in the seats with very tall males surrounding me, obstructing what otherwise would have been a perfect view. Oh well, I suppose it happens. I enjoyed the gig nonetheless and made the most of it...that including fighting back tears during Sorrow.
I only have two days left of my studentship-thing at Peter Mac. Even though I won't have much of a holiday (less than a month, and I'll probably be working at my other comparatively-well-paid-supermarket-slave-monkey job), at least I'll be able to attempt to make a dent into the books I've been adding to my already-crammed bookshelf and all the movies and episodes of TV shows cluttering my hard-drive. What can I say? Pop culture is my life force.
Well, I'm just going to leave this here...
Just ignore the Timberlake that ruins this photo...I think I'm going to blame tumblr for this new obsession. I really want to get my paws on the The Social Network DVD, just so I can listen to the cast commentary.
