Sookie ... it's quite obvious that she is a Mary Sue. Every guy (or at least every supernatural more or less good guy) wants her, though surprisingly enough not everyone gets her (into bed). Her brother is a tomcat, but unlike in the TV series you don't get any details, because Sookie is telling the story. Her sexscenes are okay. Not too much for me, maybe too little for others. I don't know how the TV series proceded, but I guess they are more or less concentrating on the Vampires and maybe the shapeshifters. In the novels - although those are the main supernatural beings - there are also others appearing, some Greek thingies, fairies ... Maybe a little too much all in all.

I have seen a trailer for the 'Game of Thrones' movie. Of course I want to see it (hopefully they won't show it in 3D or A.J. will get a crisis). I started reading the first book, then Tine told me that the series isn't finished and that most likeable characters die anyway, so I stopped. I wonder how the movie will go, because what I remember of the book is that a lot of characters were introduced, lots ... which doesn't work in a movie, I think.
