Because I reconnected with another slashfan, I found this meme:

What have I read lately?
The Sookie Stackhouse novels, which are the basis for the True Blood series. They aren't exactly super, but they are a nice read. Good enough for me to buy the next 6 novels once I finished with the first four, which I had gotten by accident. But I don't have to buy the latest one now, I can wait until it's a paperback like the ones I have.
The True Blood TV-series though doesn't interest me. The first two episodes didn't thrill me, and from what I read about it, it's not my kind of story anyway. For the uninformed: I don't like Vampires.
And it makes a difference if a person 'tells' you she's acting stupid (like in the books) or just acts stupid (on TV). I liked Sookie in the books, despite her fixation on Vampires. Couldn't connect with the girl on TV at all. Friends tell me the series gets better. How nice. But I really don't need to watch everything.
