I'm a 30 year old woman dancing around my kitchen like a 5 year old after reading a blog post on my Mother's blog.
She bought me a ball winder and swift! I'm so darn excited it's unreal. No more winding by hand, or just using sock yarns that I can buy already balled- I can get pretty skeins of deliciousness now!

I sent my parents the cacti pair (and accidentally forgot to include the letter I wrote- I found it behind the kitchen desk while cleaning. So they got a box, with two ami's.. and that was it. Oops!)

Turns out there were already two cacti in residence and they look suspiciously like their ami equivalents!

I am going to try to use my drop spindle tomorrow. No more staring at it and then putting it aside. I can't knit every day because I don't want to kill my wrist, so perhaps spinning will be a nice in between hobby.
