Update
So last night after we worked our asses off to get Ben's train table built before he got home from my MIL's house, he ended up passed out by the time we got home so he didn't get to see it last night. We were bummed.
This morning he woke up and was being cranky. I think he probably would have gone back to sleep if I had just cuddled with him, but instead I brought him into his room and showed him the train table. I wish I could have recorded his reaction on video because it was so amazing! The tears instantly dried up and the pout literally MELTED off of his face and was replaced by the biggest smile I've ever seen in my life. His eyes completely lit up and he whispered "a train table" to himself before going completely crazy.
Sadly, I was too groggy to think about bringing the camera when I showed him so there is no photographic documentation of this event. I wish so bad I would have set the tri-pod up in his room and gotten his reaction on video. I also wish I would have gotten on video Tim and I putting it together. :(
