Why did no one tell me about The Riches? I've also got my eye on Life on Mars and The Dresden Files, but haven't begun either of them yet. But really: why did no one tell me about The Riches? I'm a little shocked that my entire flist isn't all asquee with it. I've only seen the first three episodes, so don't spoil me please, but wow am I loving it. The performances are all excellent. Wayne's accent throws me, though. Is it accurate, do you think? Or is it just that Eddie's American accent has kinks in it? I'm rooting for the Watsonian explanation over the Doylist, here.
I know nothing about Traveller culture, and I wonder what's the perception of the show within the community. It's such a potentially incendiary thing, to do this show with this subject matter about a group that's so insular and so marginalized.
