Thank y'all so much for the love at the love meme. I feel all cuddled, and I appreciate you guys.
I appreciate you all, everybody reading this. Yes, you. The writers, the essayists, the reccers, the network-builders, the organizers, the mods, the artists, the meta writers. The lurkers, for whom I have a special fondness because I lurked for so long, and still do to quite an extent. The ones who comment so faithfully on other peoples' work, which is something I wish I could manage to do more of. The newsletter editors, good grief the newsletter editors. I would be lousy at that job, and I'm really thankful for the people who spend the time and energy to do it so well. And the other categories of fen that I may have omitted, love to you too.
I'm also gleeful right now about fic search communities. They're such a delightful way to find stories, like overhearing snatches of the wackiest conversations ever. "I'm looking for the fic where Character A had his tongue cut out by cave vampires, and Character B nurses him back to health with the sap from a special purple tree. And then they go to Wyoming. Or maybe it was Poland. I think there was a goldfish in there somewhere, too. Thx!" *
