The Square Legacy: Chapter 39

Sorry I did not have this up sooner, ya'll, but some things came up... like my Internet not working. And uh a little bit of laziness, yeah.

But, without further ado... I welcome you to...

~ ~ ~

Last time, on the Square Legacy...

uh...

well like...

Faris had her second child. Huzzah!

~ ~ ~

Life for Faris soon slipped back into its usual routine: go to work, race the clock, and try to fix everything her coworkers managed to break during the day.

Faris was getting promotions left and right, but her routine was, as these things go, soon interrupted by a sudden bout of nausea. Or something.

But she suspected she knew what that "something" was, and after a quick confirmation via pregnancy test she was ready to break the news to Art.

She hunted him down in the living room, where he was playing the Sims. Whoa ho ho simception!!! (wow original joke I know wow)

"Art? Honey?" Faris could barely contain her excitement. "I have some good news! Are you ready?"

Art bit back a sigh as he closed his game. "Yeah, okay. What is it?"

"Are you sure? This is pretty big!"

"Oh my gas giants... are you going to spit it out or not?"

"I'm pregnant! Again!"

Again? Already? Art was a bit taken aback at how soon it had happened this time. Then again, he had to admit that he and Faris were kind of freaks in bed...

"Wow, that is marvelous, flesh-puppet! What shall we name this one...?"

~ ~ ~

Of course, the impending arrival of the third child was hardly the only thing happening around the house. Edgar soon became a cute little boy, whose sole trait was that he was a Goofball.

Also it's a bit hard to tell, since he is but a child, but Edgar was practically the spitting image of his dear old dad... minus the very kissable VanWatson lips. Drat! Even when I switch games I cannot escape them! >:-I

He and his mother were very close. That was sort of the theme of this generation--everyone loved their mama. Of course, their mama is Faris, so what's not to love, really?

Art had his birthday, blowing out the candles on a lovely hamburger cake prepared for him by his doting wife. Pfft. What is he, ten???

"One-hundred, actually," Art said to no one in particular.

"Oh," said no one in particular. I mean, the narrator. I mean, me.

Even though he was now an old fart, Art remained uniquely... "Art."

He was still crazy and none of his kids wanted anything to do with him. Which was fine, because he didn't want anything to do with them, either. I mean even Noe had some interest in his kids after a while. Art just didn't give a crap and when he did dare to look at his little creations he was kind of an ass to them. It's not documented here, but, trust me, he was a jerk.

That was fine, though; the kids were good at entertaining themselves, and if they ever needed parental attention they could just go crying to their mommy.

Their mommy who, after much neglect by the simmer, struggled to fight the deadly crotch Z's... oh no wait she's in labor, sorry! :-(

She gave birth to a very healthy and sparkly baby girl named Celes.

The baby stage is boring so I'll leave you with this shot of a very smug-looking Celes, who turned out to be pretty similar-looking to her mom. Except!!! Perhaps through the power of voodoo, she somehow gained an eye color extremely similar to that of her grandfather Kain, and to the founder of this legacy, Enix (Enix who???). Voodoo or huge coincidence or both aside, I'm sure you can see how this sort of endears me to her, in spite of her mean personality.

~ ~ ~

So anyway--that's all for this update. I'll try to have another one pumped out by the end of November but who the hell knows :-<

Until then... as always... happy simming <3!
