pauliatchy and I wrapped shooting tonight on the last episode of
Hockey Strike's inaugural season. It's been lots of fun, and some of our best episodes are yet to come, so stay tuned!
Ah, it seems like just yesterday...
November 19th, 2004
pauliatchy introduced me to the world of podcasting, and I did a few
Poptopia shows with him.
At Christmas that year, he got the video camera and in January we started working on concepts for a short film.
Jan 31st, 2005 First draft completed on
Zombie Night in Canada, then titled "Zombie Night Out".
At some point, we saw a certain 5 minute TV show DV festival website, and our short film became a TV pilot. Due to postal screwups and such, our May submission missed the deadline, became a June one, then was lost completely, then the second copy finally made it in, to be rejected along with 30 some odd others by the panel.
August, 25th 2005 Undaunted, Paul found an alternate distribution method, and we went on the air as a video podcast .
October 12, 2005, Apple releases its Video iPod and a whole new audience is opened up to video podcasts, including our show, now on Episode Three, guest-starring
dramaqueen_23. (Other LJ'ers would also get into the act, including
aurora_eclipse,
sarcasma,
lady_shain and
marquismarc!)
March 28, 2006 Flash forward to today. We've shot our last footage at our current "soundstage".
Flash forward to May when the season finale airs! Woah! Dude, yer makin' me nauseous.
Oh, sorry, Here, have a glass of water.
Thanks, dude.
Don't mention it.
Anyhow, it's been fun. Off to bed for me.
