If this man weren't married, I'd do naughty things to him.
Speaking of naughty, I've been writing a story quite hurriedly recently in order to make enough to pay rent. I had writer's block for several weeks when originally given the project but only made a breakthrough in the writing with some advice from s friend. Progress though I made, (pleasing the clients needs, 16 pages out of 20), it wasn't fast enough to get paid on time to pay rent.
I show my client what I have, explain the situation. He gives me an advance which is enough.
Why is it that some of the most gentlemanly people I'm worked with in business are those that work naughtily in comics. Josh at Slipshine is a sweetheart. I'll say it again. He's a sweetheart and a man I trust to be a man of his word. And then there's this other client, one I've had for years.
You know, mainstream publishing, you could learn from these guys that if you take care of your people, they'll take care of you.
