Well, poetry is driving me insane, but I haven't been this content in a long while. I don't really know why - none of the exam pressure is off, I still have to leave my house this summer, I still have a mountain of notes to make - but I'm sort of... settled. Which is a really nice feeling.
I'm doing terribly with keeping a diary - I made my first entry since mid-January on Saturday, and haven't written since. I know I have two and a half more years to find six months from, so hopefully I'll manage it! I don't think a daily diary is really my thing, which is why I like LJ, because I only write when there's something vaguely interesting going on, or when I'm procrastinating...
I have to make a huge chart of 71 poems under 20 themes, adding key quotes in each tiny box to 'create a visual link' between the exam questions and the thick wad of annotated stanzas which has given me a permanent twinge in my shoulder.
I woke up at ten this morning, despite having set my alarm for eight in the vain attempt to get some work done. It seems like I've been up for ages, not just four and a half hours. I haven't got tons done, but I made a start on the grid, which was going to take me the longest to get going with. I have to read and annotate Oh, What A Lovely War, too, and if it wasn't for the essay on it, I would just pretend.
Oh, and I'm sad that R has left. And that no-one told me!
Ugh, I'm so bored of the winter; I love to sit by my radiator, looking out of the window, but I hate that I can't wear just a t-shirt, or a skirt without four pairs of tights. I keep meaning to get into regularly walking - I still need to watch the sunset - but I just can't bring mysef to get all wrapped up in coats and scarves...
I should probably get back to work - I have a new action plan, which is get on with my day, but everytime I go past my desk, I have to do one more poem. They take about four minutes each, maybe more for a long one or a good one, so it should be practical and less boredom inducing!
Right...... Going by my track record this holiday, it shouldn't be too long until my new post!

and all be turned to barnacles, your coursework must be your own work, well how do you do young willie mcbride?
