Ah, well that was a productive but infuriating trip to little town. I got about a thousand helpful books - but the library didn't have Bonjour Tristesse in the original French or The Shadow of the Wind in the original Spanish. I bought an iTunes voucher - but Mum made me pay for it myself, although I gave her the money for it last week. I also found the perfect long sleeved jumper and a very sweet shirt - both in separate '2 for £20' offers - which the stupid shop drone behind the till couldn't rub her brain cells hard enough together to realise that clearly, it made sense to combine the two offers. I argued for about five minutes with her - the shop wasn't losing any money, I wasn't gaining anything - but her idiocy was a barrier to all but the most basic communication. I would have left the shop if the jumper hadn't actually had sleeves that fit my orangutan arms. I did buy them, for her price, but indignantly and promising that next time I would spend my money elsewhere. I won't, though. Unfortunately, Dorothy Perkins is the only shop where the shirts AND the jeans feel like they've been cut to my body.
I'm tempted to write off today, I'm so reluctant to work, but having procrastinated my way through Christmas, and having been informed there are ten weeks left of term, I at least ought to make some notes. But then I should also go for a walk to counteract the amount of sugar I ingested, inhaled, and absorbed last night. Or I could just read.....
Oh, I forgot, I came on LJ to check my music list.. I shall do that, then! :)
