I finished my firebender training with Aang. I'm doing a lot of practicing on my own, but I still have a long ways to go. Its proving to be a lot more difficult to master than I first thought. Fire is a living thing. Exert too much will and you smother it; don't reign it in enough and it blazes out of control.
But at least now I have all four elements on my side. I'll need every advantage I can get if I'm going to stand toe-to-toe against Canaletto. I won't repeat the same mistakes I made last time. I can't afford to lose a second time.
Sul's been recovering very slowly. He's in pretty bad shape. Canaletto has been feeding on his soul for two years. I guess that's how he managed to get enough energy to finally manifest in a physical form. Sul was said to have possessed power nearly equal to my own, but I think his reputation was a little exaggerated.
Sul ... he's so old, so frail. And now he's finally showing his age. He's the last of his kind, the last of the ancient races. It must be so lonely, living for so many centuries without others who are like you.
Unfortunately, when I asked him about Canaletto's weaknesses, he merely laughed and declared that he has none. None whatsoever.
I don't believe that. Everyone has their weaknesses. Even Canaletto. And I'll learn what it is and exploit it. I won't let him ruin my wedding. I have a feeling that he'll try and make his plan of attack then. Well, he's got another thing coming! I'll be ready for him, I promise. Just have to keep on training ...
