Quiche can be dangerous...
Why must summer always be so busy? Despite that, it's been awfully boring lately. The most interesting thing to happen is the old lady who moved in a few doors down. In an attempt to be neighborly, Kaa-san made a quiche to take over. At least she said it was a quiche, but it didn't look like any kind of quiche I've ever seen before. So I was dragged into helping deliver it, and felt so bad when the old woman thanked us (even though she was a bit batty) because I was sure she'd be in the hospital for at least a month after trying to eat the thing. But a few days later she came over to tell my mother that the quiche was excellent. Now, this would come off as just being nice, except for one thing.
She asked if we could make another one.
She actually liked it.
I'm pretty sure that I have now seen everything. She and my mother have started exchanging recipes, so if I disappear again anytime soon, please check that I'm still alive, please?
All that said, I HOPE that at least seven of you out there remember what tomorrow is. As far as I'm aware, there aren't any current plans, but I'll be more than happy to drag each of you away from whatever you're doing, whether you want to see each other at the moment or not.
