I have to thank my recipient, mayhap, for a request that immediately got my brain going; I hadn't read White since I was twelve, but something impelled me to try to cross these two sources over. And I still have Thinky Thoughts about Uskglass as the northern Arthur and the persistence of folk belief in a sectarian savior, and White's charming use of anachronism and knotty chronology, and, and...
For jbbs, I ended up writing two stories:
A fever still within
