In-Game Character Information
Name: Starfire Jones.
(In Tamaran her name is Koriand'r, which is Starfire translated to English. Then she made up a superawesome last name to fit in.)
Series: Teen Titans.
Age: 16.
Personality:
Starfire is a very sweet, affectionate foreign girl who wishes to be friends with pretty much everyone she meets (if they're not a bully who needs butt kicking, anyway). English is not her first language and she is very unfamiliar with Europe altogether, which, coupled with her happy disposition, is likely enough to explain Starfire's naivety.
But just because she is naive doesn't mean that she's stupid! She is a hell of a lot stronger and more capable than she looks; and in times where it is needed, one can count on her to display this. Still though, one can't deny how much she endears herself to people through her naive ways. The girl never uses contractions, mixes up idioms without realizing and often does just... plain out weird things such as assuming mustard is a beverage and drinking it through a straw (her village's customs are incredibly strange to the rest of the planet, it would seem). All of her strange behaviour is in good faith though, and she would certainly appreciate any and all efforts to explain life in Europe to her!
She also takes friendship pretty seriously. The girl would do just about anything to keep her friends (and even acquaintances, or friends of friends) safe and happy. She is very much a people person, and is actually very perceptive behind her silly smiles and sometimes overlu happy demeanour -- she seems to understand the people around her, and more often than once has she been able to see things like the softer side of a rough person. Secrets will always be safe with this little lady because hey, that's what friends are for, right? And Starfire is definitely a lovely friend to all.
Still though, Tamaraneans are naturally a very emotional race, so Starfire can often be sensitive to things such as pranks and arguments. It distresses her to see friends fighting and one can count on her to be the first to try to fix things.
Also, she's really strong. Seriously, be mean to her or her friends, or try to take advantage of her? She'll immediately -- and effectively! -- defend her honour.
Background:
Starfire is from a small magical village called Tamaran. It is completely unknown to muggles except for maybe the occasional local legend, and there are very few wizards who seem to really know anything about the place. And, strangely, despite being located in the deepest reaches of Australia of all places, English is not the primary language of the Tamaraneans. In fact, only a select few actually have that knowledge. They instead speak in what they simply call "Tamaranean", a bizarre sounding language that outsiders would have to spend a long time studying before they could get a handle on it.
Tamaraneans are almost exclusively pure blood, but they remain, in general (there are exceptions), friendly and accepting towards all lifeforms. Those few who know of Tamaran would probably associate that trait with them -- along with the fact that they are all exceptional flyers. And not just, oh these people are good at flying brooms, no, this particular race has taken to the skies so much over the many centuries of their existence that they have developed the ability to fly without brooms. It is a special hereditary magic in their very blood and being that allows them to hover above the ground more than a few feet and even maneuver their bodies around in the air. Give them a broom and they become absolutely limitless. Starfire is no different -- in fact, she is actually probably one of the most cheerful Tamaraneans in the sky.
It's also important to note that their village may not be as big as some of the other cities out there in the world, but that they still have their very own personal monarchy. And right now? Starfire is the strong, joyous princess who is one day to take the throne and become Empress.
This linage explains her knowledge of the English language, as that skill has been a sort of unspoken requirement for all members of the royal family in their culture. However, the princess to inherit the throne is traditionally supposed to learn the way of magic via the appointed Teacher... but in her generation, there has arisen a problem. The Teacher who was to train Starfire into a powerful witch passed away due to natural illness five years into the lessons. No one else in the village was qualified to take up such a task -- the girl didn't even have her parents to help. They too had been taken from this world many years ago, leaving the princess in the care of a man and temporary ruler named Galefor. A strong wizard and warrior, yes, but unable to give his little daughter figure the proper teaching she deserved.
And so, with some initial reluctance from all, it was decided that Starfire would leave Tamaran for a school to finish the job that they could not. She accepted that yes, this was the best way to help her people and soon, she had ventured onwards to a new, exciting learning environment.
And not just any new exciting learning environment. Despite it's location, it had to be the esteemed (you guessed it) Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Blood: Pure blood.
Preferred House: Hufflepuff.
Why you think they belong in this house? Starfire values friendship above all else, and being loyal to friends and mere acquaintances is most definitely one of her strongest traits. She also works incredibly hard both mentally and physically and is has an extremely friendly attitude. To be fair Gryffindor could probably work too considering her strong sense of righteousness, but overall her personality seems to be more in tune with that the friendly, loyal Hufflepuffs.
School Year: Sixth.
Quidditch Position: STARFIRE WOULD LOVE TO BE ON A QUIDDITCH TEAM and she would probably make a hilariously good beater, though she is probably good at everything.
Would you like the character to possibly get a higher position? Maaaybe one day, but it's cool if not.

Hogwarts!
Oh, Hogwartian comrades, it is so glorious to see everyone again!
Esteemed teachers of the knowledge, I promise that I have kept up with the work that you have assigned to me! And I offer the apologies to anyone I have troubled with my absence!
Please, friends, would you tell me all about the happenings of this institution since I departed for family affairs two weeks ago? Forgive me, but I am from a very far away and quite small town in which much of the same occurs within the time of two weeks, but here! Oh, here in the important area of largeness, much happens, does it not? I wish very much to rectify the situation in which I have put myself in.
Thank you everyone!
Quaffle Sample:
The moment Starfire set foot (or, well technically, hovered) into the familiar Hufflepuff common room, she could no longer contain her excitement.
"Hufflepuffians!" The redheaded girl exclaimed with much joy in her voice, her arms thrown into the air above her head in sheer excitement as she waved to and beamed at her fellow schoolmates in the room. "Though not all of you remember me, it is still wonderful to see you again! Or --" She made a little gasping noise as she saw a few first years she didn't recognize sitting together. "Or, wonderful to meet you!"
If sparkles started radiating from her right now, it probably wouldn't have surprised anyone.
And despite her loud entrance, it wasn't long before she was floating over to the first couple people who welcomed her back, immediately beginning to talk away. Oh, and the professors! She couldn't wait to see them again. She'd even brought back some Tamaranean recipes and souvenirs, she'd have to cook for everyone!
It'd only been about two weeks since she departed, but such was a long time to go without your friends!
