Okay friends, I need your help! This is goofy, but I'm a nerd. So humor me. As some of you know, the first book in Phillip Pullman's His Dark Materials Trilogy (The Golden Compass) is coming to theaters in December. I first started reading these books when I was in junior high and I highly recommend them. The characters from the world of The Golden Compass have what's called a daemon (pronounced demon) which is an animal representation of a person's soul, usually of the opposite sex. Children's daemons can change forms, but when the child's path and personality are determined, the daemon takes on a permanent shape. The website for the movie allows you to "meet your daemon," which I have done. As you see, he is a Jackal named Elleron. This is not Elleron's permanent shape. I have 12 days before this form becomes permanent. I want to see if this is the best representation of who I am, but I'll need your help.
