(no subject)
We got our puppy today! He's a black, 8 week old standard poodle male. We love him to death already. His name is Cooper. We brought him home all the way from Maryville, MO. Seven hour drive, but only the first hour was really bad. He whined and whined and whined, but when my dad started growling at him, he quit for the most part. (That's what parent dogs do when puppies do things they're not supposed to.) So the rest of the trip had only three stops, and at each one he got to go play in the bit of grass that was available. He's really going to love living here. I'm gonna miss him while I'm gone.
So my flight for Chicago leaves at 6 AM in St Louis. Sigh. So I get to go spend Wednesday night at my dad's twin's house in St Charles and then head to the airport early in the next morning. From there I go to San Francisco for a few days for orientation type stuff. Woopy doo. Then I leave for Tokyo, whether or not I stay in the Tokyo area I don't know yet. Then I engross myself in all that is Japan. Oh, and I have to take a tour of a Mazda factory, since they are sponsoring my trip. Fun times, I'm sure. Tomorrow my mom and I get to decide how we're gonna tie off all these loose ends using only Monday and Tuesday. Man alive, I'm gonna be a busy child.
Camp was great. Lots of thoughts on that, but all in all it was really cool. I really needed that, even though it really put a strain on these next few days. I've only been home for a total of about four days worth of non-consecutive hours so far this summer, if that much.
