It's been so long since I posted, even more than usual, I think. And that's saying something. I keep thinking I'm going to post more, but RL always gets in the way. Anyway, here it goes.
* It's been a busy last few months. I moved from my old apartment to new one, bigger and, by all accounts, nicer than the last one. I really loved where I lived before, but everyone keeps telling us this one is much better *shrugs*. It's at a better location, so that's nice, and my room is big, with large windows and plenty of light.
* I went to visit my friend in Baltimore last month and it was fantastic. I had such a great time. We went to DC a lot, as usual, and I took the bus to NY for a few days. I saw American Idiot, which was a lot of fun and my first time seeing a Broadway play.
* I'm completely in love with two new fandoms and having so much fun reading all the amazing fics the authors come up with. I've realized how much of my immersion in a particular fandom comes from how much I enjoy the writers there. That's how Generation Kill and Inception ate my brain. So many amazing stories I don't even know where to begin to count, though one in particular I'm planning to rec because it was almost too good to be true.
I was totally late to the Gen Kill party, but I just got around to seeing it while I was in Baltimore. At first, I thought I had forgotten how to understand the english language, because frankly I could, maybe, understand half of what they were saying, but then I finally got that it was just the military terms they used and all the abbreviations. It gave me an excuse to watch it again, though.
* So far the new TV season is looking particularly unattractive to me. None of the new shows are really that appealing, but I haven't seen a lot yet. We'll see. I'm still loving TVD completely and Criminal minds, even if the premiere wasn't up to its best standards and there's plenty of good returning shows to keep me happy.
