Oh my, I do love me a matter-of-fact Changmin.
From the very first line both the fic and Changmin himself is so practical and determined.

It's an interesting twist in this one that its from the point of view of the character who doesn't have the mental journey to take the reader along with - takes me back to the conversations about pov being best from the person who has the most to lose, and despite Changmin being resolute, he technically has the most to lose because his confidence is feed by his assurance that he can talk Yunho around... but maybe he won't.

And we really need to see Yunho having to be talked around to add to the deliciousness push-and-pull when he finally gives in.

By making the watersports sound easy and sensible, Changmin gives Yunho enough to spark the inner conflict that he needs to get excited enough to give in.

I love how that sort of determination that Changmin shows is reflected in Yunho once he makes his mind up and starts to drink the beer in preparation.

For me the hottest scene isn't the bath-tub - it's Changmin biting and nibbling on Yunho's neck and ears by the toilet. You probably guessed I was going to say that. I'm going to say it again: Changmin biting and licking and nibbling on Yunho's neck is hot, no matter what else he's doing, but the combination of teeth and a controlling hand being the thing that pushes Yunho over is very, very nice.

I was also impressed with the use of water all the way through - from helping to ease the cut, to the boiling kettle, the unfurling curl of the tomato skins in the bowl, through to the teasing run of the tap while Yunho first tries to pee, and then the flush of the loo and finally the shower and the bath cleaning, both. Very clever.

I want to write more - there's a lot to say both because of, and despite, the kink, but I also want to watch the Great British Bake-Off final before I get ruined with spoilers. I am SOOO rock'n roll, you would not believe.

But thank you for creating and delivering characters who are just as powerful and compelling as the kink itself. Stories like this often put all the focus on the shock of the act, but you've balanced the shock factor with the love and compromise and trust that signifies a truly great relationship - and reading Yunho and Changmin so into each other is never going to not make me mush.

Thank you - ah, good point about the POV; this would be so different if it were from Yunho's POV but I liked the chance to poke at the baldness (or boldness, or both) of Changmin's matter-of-fact approach.

I knew you were going to say that bit. Probably the bit I like best too. And thank you for noticing the recurrent water theme! Plus I wanted the juxtaposition of food prep with discussion of bodily waste product, which comes together in the line Changmin says about drinking urine for health, and also Yunho and the drop of blood blahblahblah. Observe my over-thinking stylistic tendencies.

Okay now going to watch Bake-Off \o/
