Needs a Metronome

Wow, I need a replay of the last few days...

Let's start with friday! Things I did: took my last final, packed up, sold my books, cleaned up the room, left Street Cloud with my mother. Went home, had dinner, sent my mom off to her dentist visit, went to sleep. Got up at eight. Left a little before ten with Maija and Koenen in my mother's Tracker to roadtrip to Michigan, an overnight trip that's 6 hours one way to go get Jake and come back before going to Matt Thompson's to finish shooting that movie we helped with last summer. At least, that was the plan...

Enter Saturday at midnight, where we have switched to me driving with Koenen in the passenger's seat. Now begins the comedy of errors. First of all, Wisconsin, go fuck yourself. 55 -> 25 for half a mile -> 55. Fuck you. And do something about your roads so I no longer fishtail into where incoming traffic would be if there was incoming traffic. Get more light and less cops, says my paranoia. Michigan is on my list of places to raze to the ground with fire and salt the land as I leave. If I have to drive into a snowbank to stop the car because of glare ice the state officially deserves a big "fuck you".

Getting lost because of a complete lack of street signs is also a point against it. Having to call Jake for help and getting directions from his boyfriend is also an interesting way to make me stay awake. Rage as an upper, who knew. Completely illegal, let Koenen sleep while I was the only one awake in the car because he couldn't stay awake for the life of him. Got to Houghton, the town Jake's school is in, fuck you and your complex roads. Met Christian, that was interesting, he'd heard about me from Jake which explains the weird once over he gave me, which I think I may have messed up by grabbing his hand, shaking it, and asking desperately where his bathroom was. Joked in the kitchen with all of us for a bit before leaving, made sure to be out the door before Jake and Christian said goodbye, didn't wanna see that.

Apparently, I was radiating enough discontent at that point that Maija and Jake were visibly picking up on it (Koenen is oblivious. In my defense, I was also verbally abusing Michigan since the adrenaline from the last fishtail hadn't left yet and was running pretty much on pure caffiene via monster) We got out of Michigan at about 7, way later than originally planned because it's f-ing Michigan. The sun started to come up, Jake the one driving as the only one who had gotten any real sleep, Maija and Koenen crashed in the backseat. After driving for a while on the wrong road, we bought a map, got back on track, trying to avoid the massive snow storm we had just missed coming in and were following back to the cities.

After making some small talk, Jake asked if I had met anyone special up at Street Cloud, in a really purposefully vague way. I made him ask it straight forward before I would answer. This opened up a floodgates where I gave him a brief rundown of other!Ben, Ashley, the others (the ones I will admit happened. Gotta keep some things secret), and rerouted it back to him where I accused him of all the things that are his fault stupid idiot. And then we talked it all out. (It helps that I feel like I'm more attractive than Christian, haha *bad person*)

He knows I want to date him. He knows I'm not expecting anything especially while he's still dating Christian. He knows that no mater what I'm expecting us to stay friends cause he promised and in no way do I ever want him out of my life for any forseeable amount of time god I'm a fucktard. By 8:30 we were still in Michigan and realizing how royally fucked we were time wise. My mother was amazing in that she queried people she knew who come to Michigan regularily and got us a shortcut back home avoiding the massive snowdumps, all just off the top of her head. Best random text ever.

High low points: Breakfast at mcdonalds, calling Matt to tell him we'd be there at noon, so not being there by noon, landing the tracker in a ditch when trying to make a u turn, physically lifting the tracker out of the ditch, getting into a crash that didn't end with any major damage, getting home and not dying, rescheduling the movie shoot for tuesday, deciding that Hide and Seek by Imogen Heap is the song for the trip ("Where are we? What the hell is going on?").

After all this, we get back to my place and head out to a party. All very fun. Made some good profit too (drug dealing seems lucrative. Maybe I should be a fence when I grow up...) No, it's not that bad, I'm exaggerating. It was nice seeming everyone, Kreft and Mitch and Rachel and all. Hopefully this is a fun start to a good break. Now just to hope Jake doesn't have mono...
