insanityjones First: If you've been tagged, you must write your answers in your own LJ and replace any question that you dislike with a new, original question.
Second: Tag eight people. Don't refuse to do that. Don't tag who tagged you.
Lots of pillows or just one? Two skinny ones to compliment the slab-of-granite-mattress I require for sleep.
What kind of books do you read? Classic fiction and poetry, literary criticism and large tomes on philosophy. A few X-Files and Doctor Who novels thrown in to mix things up a bit.
What are your most awesome skills? Ability to write a half-decent essay in a night, a fairly extensive knowledge of XF trivia and English literature, over-analysing fictional characters.
What's your occupation? Very hard-working student (no, seriously).
What websites do you always visit online? BBC News, Guardian Blogs, LJ, Ephemeral and TWoP's XF forum.
What's really creepy? A Channel Four documentary I've just seen on virtual realities, in particular the man who's made himself a millionaire selling "vritual sex positions" to users' virtual alter-egos.
What's your current fandom/obsession/addiction?
Fandoms: The X-Files first and foremost, flirtations with Doctor Who and House, MD on the side.
Obsessions: Gillian Anderson/Dana Scully, my current investigation into Wittgenstein and the language of abstract, Hemmingway.
Addictions: surfing the 'net, fanfic, fruit salad Chewits .
What flavor ice cream would you choose right now? Can I have mango sorbet instead?
What was the last thing you bought? Frivolous items that I can barely afford: The Complete X-Files and the fourth season of House, MD.
What has been your memorable moment recently? Being utterly captivated by Gillian Anderson in A Doll's House. Seeing her cry, shout, dance and kiss and falling in infatuation with her all over again.
Do you get cravings? If so, what do you crave? Yes, when I'm not well and then my cravings are for olives, tomato soup and ciabatta bread.
What do you do to change your mood? Read, watch an XF episode and wait for my next therapy session to come around.
What is your zodiac sign? Sagittarius.
Do you want to learn another language? I'd like to improve my varying degrees of ability in Japanese, Latin, Spanish and French first. But afterwards, maybe Russian?
Five things you can't live without: The books on my shelves, Radio Four, the internet, DVD boxsets and University Challenge.
What are you looking forward to? My exam results in August (with trepidation) and a new academic year in September.
Say something to the person who tagged you: I'm really glad I finally got up the courage to comment on your posts. And, at the risk of sounding sycophantic, I'd also like to apologise for previously being too intimidated by your brilliance to write and tell you how much I loved reading all of your beautifully-written XF fics.
