Exercise is my antidepressant of choice

No joke. For about 36 hours after running a mile, or interval training for 20 minutes, I get a mood boost + calm. It settles me, makes me more quietly energized, and erases a lot of cruft. Add in a good weights element and I come out feeling strong, which totally ups my confidence. It works better than when I was on prozac, which provided a floor that I wasn't dropping past, but no additional benefit.

Its hard to keep up. Both because when I'm feeling down I don't feel like going to the gym, and because running for 15 minutes entails an additional 15-20 minutes of overhead in getting there/changing/showering/etc. But it really works, so I've take to going at lunch since it doesn't require getting up early, or adjusting most social plans. So far I've only managed twice a week, and would like to move it up to 3-5.

I go buzz productively at work now.
