How do you sum up a life-long friend in one lj post? How do you get over looking in the field and not seeing that cream colored coat and mischievous eye?

There's nothing that I can say here that would do justice to the times he carried me, physically and metaphorically over obstacles. The times that he caught my tears and let me snuggle into his shoulder, the times he kicked me and bucked me, but always loved us. He was a people horse more than a horse horse, if that makes any sense. He was the horse that made people fall in love with horses everywhere. I could put the most frightened beginner on him, and he would take care of him. I've actually seen him duck under a rider to keep her from falling, and not bolt in fear when a grapevine tangled in the saddle and fell on him. He was one in a million and is irreplaceable.

My dad waited all his life for a palomino, and Trigger was everything he ever wanted. He loved Trigger and Trigger loved Dad. I wish he was still with us.

I could go on about him for hours. So I'll just tell you he was an incredible horse, he will never be forgotten and will always be missed. He was loved and loved in return. If you got to meet him, you were very lucky, because you could never meet a better horse.
