I was unfaithful this week, and bought my record from another independent record shop, this time in Glasgow. There was a section of local music, and it seemed like a reasonable place to look for something I might not come across in Howard's shop in Guildford.
So, I searched on my phone for information about some of the bands in the local section, and plumped for Le Reno Amps. The review I found was very positive, and mentioned in particular their amazing diversity of styles and songs within one album. I'm not sure I'd go so far as to suggest that their style is that diverse - they are all indie pop/rock songs, with some catchy riffs and choruses, sounding a bit Pavementy at times, a bit like the Pixies, and a bit like much of the best indie music from the early nineties, and it makes for a coherent album, and a good listen. If they want to come and play in London, I'll go and see them
