WOOHOO WATER SLIDE!
So, today we celebrated my brother's birthday. WE HAD A WATER SLIDE. IT WAS FUN. It took up pretty much the entire front yard, and there were two sides. On one side there was mud right by the exit, plus that's the side all the electrical stuff was on, so we had trashcans there to send people to walk around. On the other side was just grass. It was hilarious when people overshot and fell onto the grass xD It was funny with the mud too, but we could see it better with the grass.
I spent a lot of the day with my baby cousin. She is just too adorable, and when it was cake time, she had it smeared all over here face.
Anyways. The party meant I didn't have time to read. So, I go to back to school in under a month. I have three books I need to read, plus a few other odd assorted things. Right now I'm tackling Slaughterhouse Five. Yes, I chose it because Dean has read it. No, I'm not ashamed of this :) I only started it yesterday and I'm already halfway through the book. I enjoy it. It keeps reminding me of Doctor Who and Supernatural though. (Non-linear views of time! Magic Fingers!) Anyways, tomorrow I'm going to my Grandma's house so I'll almost definitely read a lot of it there. I went to Target just now with my mom and my brother to see if they had The Scarlet Letter (another book I need to read, I'm thinking I may finish Slaughterhouse Five tomorrow). They DIDN'T have it, but as I was looking through the books I have more to add to my I-Want-To-Read list. (Fahrenheit 451, which I already wanted to read but now I actually SAW the book, Catch-22, which sounds interesting to me, and The Mysterious Benedict Society, which sounds like fun.) Since I was there I decided to poke around the CDs. I found a CD called Lilith, which is apparently a collection of songs. I guess there's something called a Lilith Fair or something, but all I can think of is Supernatural-Lilith. So, in my head, all the artists on there are demon followers of Lilith. I'm not saying I hate them or that they're particularly bad people, I'm just saying I now view them as followers of Lilith who are probably demonic. Sara Bareilles(who's song Gravity happens to be in one of my favorite ever Dean/Cas vids), Kelly Clarkson(eh, she screams a lot, but I like her) and Colbie Caillat, I apologize for accusing you of being demons. Ke$ha, not so much (although Your Love is My Drug is admittably catchy and makes for some gooooood fanvids).
Oooh, and you know how there are always birds around? I had always wondered what kind of bird the little brown baby-like bords were. I found out! They're sparrows :D
