Yes to the first - we have always ensured that our participants get a fic, thanks to pinch-hitters. As for the second - that would be a no. There's a risk inherent in jumping on the first good prompt you see. You want to make sure you get one that you like, but a "better" one may come along later. Of course, if you wait you take the chance of having all the prompts you'd like best get snapped up.

No problem at all! It's new to us as well, so we're pretty excited. :)

Well, this is exciting. It will be like deciding between going to the prom with the guy you think is pretty cute, or holding out for the boy of your dreams.

Or waiting until the last minute and getting stuck with a troll!

I can't wait!

If you're not careful, you may just have to go with Jacob Ben Israel to the prom!

Are you gonna be posting prompts in a certain order? For example, are you gonna post all the prompts featuring a certain character or try to post a variety each day? I need to know how to plan accordingly, lol.

Also, this doesn't seem very fair to people with limited internet access. Is there any way we could request prompts, instead of just first come, first serve? :s

Hi!

We will be posting the prompts in the order they come in.

As for the fairness issue: we had originally discussed posting ALL the prompts en masse and declaring a free-for-all on claiming, and elected between the three of us to break it up into four days of claiming just so that people with scheduling conflicts could have a go at getting a prompt that would be "good" to them.

We normally match people up, as you know, but decided to go with something a little different and perhaps less stressful for the moderators this time. We also believe that our participants will have a better chance of scoring a prompt they'll like this way. We're going to try it out and see how it goes. :)

No, it's fine. This way actually seems like a lot of fun. I'm just worried I won't get what I want because of work/ personal conflicts. I guess I shouldn't really worry, especially if everyone is submitting 3 prompts. I'm sure everybody will find something they will enjoy writing. :)

Sorry if I sounded harsh before. I really do enjoy this comm and the fic exchanges. I just want it to continue being awesome!

Sorry if you said this in the post and I just completely missed it, but around how long should each story be?

That information will all be provided in the sign up post, but it shouldn't be any different from previous exchanges!
