Dianna has a role in The Romantics, a movie coming to theaters soon!! For Christmas, I got the book, and I've used IMDB to put two and two together and find out who Diana is going to play, and I have some thoughts on it, given the characterization of the girl in the book.

I think it had a film festival debut. I don't think it ever hit mainstream.

ETA: According to the official site, it's about to come out dvd in February. :)

It definitely came to theatres because I saw it in my small town theatre where we barely get anything

Wow, I didn't realize it came out already, I thought it was going to get a main-stream release! But I guess I lived in a really small town over the summer (literally a movie theater with TWO screens. TWO!). To be fair, the book is a bit dry at times, so it's possible it didn't translate into a movie well.

But.. I'm still totally going to rent it. =D

Oh I am SO excited to finally get to see it. I too bought the book this summer and read it. I thought the book was a bit dry, not very heavy in the dialog and that's what I usually like the best. However I loved the ending.

I really don't know how Dianna will portray Minnow. Like you said, the age thing seems off, but maybe they just never talk about her age in the movie and she is just labeled as her younger sister? IDK? But the movie should be out on DVD sometime this month or next. I looked it up ages ago. :]]

now i have to get to reading so i can get to the ending!! right now, they're still looking for tom after he went missing when they all swam from the raft in the lake to the house...
