Finn + Kurt gender misunderstanding

Finn finds out that on Kurt's playstation network account for his PS3, he set up his profile as female, and his little avatar looks like a girl. Finn is confused. He doesn't understand why. Kurt's always stressing the point that he's a guy, that he's not a girl, and when somebody asked him once if he was trans, he flat-out said no. So why would he make a girl avatar???

(I was thinking is was something like he wanted to have a female avatar for playing Singstar since he sings soprano, or maybe something as simple as the fashion choices for the girl avatars were just better.)
