Piddely little communication crud

Karl dislikes me keeping the Connie's Kids Club Suitcase of Fun in the car between meetings. He says it represents $80 a year in extra gas spent a year due to it's weight. It makes me wonder if he has figured out how much extra gas money is spent due to my extra weight. :-P ( Read more... )

Oooh! I can solve that. Go to Home Depot, and get a Come-Along Winch. They're perfect for moving big, heavy things. Secure one end of the come-along to an eyebolt on the back wall of your garage. Throw the line over a rafter beam. Then hook Karl's belt to it, and crank it up to the ceiling. With your husband safely stashed out of the way, you won't have to worry about that heavy suitcase in the trunk anymore. :)

(Or hook it to the suitcase. Whatever. You might get more peace with the first idea, though.)

And yes, I guarantee you that if he has figured out the formula for gas burned by hauling the suitcase, he's probably done the math about you, too. But I wouldn't hold that against him. It's just a little innocent math.

Lol!

BTW. Math is not innocent. Math hates me. Even as a child, Math had it out for me. Math and schoolwork, Math and time management, Math and weight, Math and budget...I have never done well as far as Math is concerned.

I find your math-phobia to be highly illogical. I hated math as a schoolkid, though. In retrospect, I think my main problem was in the unending piles of math homework I seemed to be saddled with every night of the week. Man, I hated that. Can't I just learn the concepts and do a test? Did I have to do 100 math problems every night? That got old in a hurry, and I never really developed a great love for it. Something about the way we teach math in this country ought to change. Math isn't a form of torture under the Geneva Conventions, but it sure felt like it in middle school!
