Sprinklekit was on Karl's computer the other night. Breezy wanted on. Breezy had about a half hour on the computer before Sprinklekit came home and had gotten off so Sprinklekit could do her homework. By this point Sprinklekit had been on for about two hours and was no longer doing homework. There was a sisterly arguement going on about it, so Karl stepped in.
He said, "Sprinklekit, you can't just come home and take over the computer and ignore the family for the whole night."
I couldn't help it, I had to chime in to Karl, "No, That would be your job."
After a brief pause he agreed that yes, that would be his job.

Not funny, but very nice. Today for the first time, Beso the dog, politely asked to go outside to go potty. He walked over to the door, barked once and then came over to me and started sniffing my shoes. Then he started walking back to the door and looked at me over his shoulder.
I asked him if he needed to go outside. He wagged his tail and danced a little by the door.
I don't know how we both figured out that signal, but it worked.
