Family vacations involved staying at hotels-sometimes. Usually vacations were to a relative's house.  Where I slept on a couch or couch bed or shared a bed with my cousin.  Tents. Lots of tents.
Your clothing was all bought new before you turned 18- yes
Your parents bought you a car that was not a hand-me-down from them-no, my parents were too afraid of my driving to teach me.  I had to wait until I got married.
There was original art in your house when you were a child-yes, Dad got some of them through a Post Office Auction.
Had a phone in your room before you turned 18-no, but I dragged it across the hall so much that everyone knew where to find it.

Flew anywhere on a commercial airline before you turned 16-yes; many times.  I spent at least a week with my Grandparents each summer.
Went on more than one cruise with your family-no
Your parents took you to museums and art galleries as you grew up-yes
You were unaware of how much heating bills were for your family-yes, But Dad always turned the heat down to 56 at night and 68 during the day, when we were home.  So I think I was unaware because I didn't wish to be aware.
