My year according to my posts.
January: This was the month that we went to DisneyWorld with the Moneysnakes. Most of my posts that month were recapping the vacation. There was a post about the new T.V. since our old one died.
In February I talked a lot about the children, the boys and Bargeral . I also figured out how to use Flickr, Started playing WoW, and discovered that I own a +2 Broom of Sweeping that I named Spiderwacker.
March: This month, I wrote tons about the kids, argued with Breezy, played in the snow. I also did lots of Memes, sang my first solo with the choir and Karl's Uncle Wayne died. The boys spent a week over. Mystrycat was over too.
April consisted of many cute stories and pictures about the kids, the pets and the husband. I had some major stress while helping Saphiras_kin and Mystrycat with their school projects. Also,Whee! We got a Wii. No boys overnight, but Mystrycat was over.
May: The kids did more very cute things. The boys stayed over a little as did mystrycat. I did some beading and went to a wedding. Saphiras_kin accidentally broke the camera... so I bought a new one to hold me over until I got the older one fixed.
June: My Mom broke her hip, my Dad had quadruple heart bypass surgery and then went nuts for a while. Breezy turned 9, mystrycat and the boys spent nights over we went swimming. In the funniest moment ever, Squishy put me in a time out.
July: My dad regained his mental faculties. Both parents came home from the hospital and care centers. I cracked up reading some of the more humorous entries this month. These kids are great. My brain is wierd. We had a great time celebrating the 4th and going to CONvergence. Saphiras_kin and Mystrycat are old enough to watch over Breezy and the boys at night while Barg and I got to go enjoy ourselves.
Bargeral and I celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary and Barg turned 40.
In August I apparently did way too many Memes. We got rid of the old minivan. We got Belle, the Guinea Pig. There was a bunch of swimming done. We also went to the State fair and saw the Wierd Al Concert!!! Yay!!!! No boys for the first Festival weekends, in years. Don't worry Mystrycat came over.
September, brought the school season into view. I whined, argued with Barg, played WoW, went to Festival, got a piano, and found a book in my fridge. Lots of kids over on the weekends.
In October we went to the boys' birthday celebrations. I got to see Rocky Horror at the Ordway. Made a costume for Breezy and wrote about more funny kid moments. Barg and I argued and Sarah the Guinea pig Died. Mystrycat turned 13.
In November, Mom fell again, this time she sprained her ankle. Barg and I argued. Popcorn the Guinea pig died. Dad and I got to start singing our duet at the choir concerts. Thanksgiving was a whole lot of fun . I started seeing a therapist.
Finally December,
saphiras_kin started using
sprinklekit as her LJ Name. Christmas came too fast, but once it was here, I was able to sit back and enjoy it. Though that didn't happen until after dinner. Even right before dinner, I was tossing the presents that I had forgotten to wrap at the tree. Barg's sister and nephew came into town for Christmas and that was really fun. During the holiday season, Dad and I had two concerts a week. No wonder that we were tired.
I finally got my official ADHD label. It doesn't change much, except that I get some pretty blue pills to take twice a day. Now that things have calmed down a bit, I believe that I can feel them working to some extent.
Tonight, Breezy is over at a friend's house for a Birthday/New Year's Sleepover. Sprinklekit has a friend over tonight. I am hogging the computer while we watch movies and eat snacks. Nothing too exciting.
I feel bad that I never got out to buy the girls and I new pajamas. We have a tradition that on New Year's Eve, we take showers or baths to scrub off the old dirt and put on new pajamas and ring in the New Year with cups of Sleepytime tea and milk. Obviously, this will have to change as they get older and want to head out to parties and such. Well okay, things are already changing but at least we can still do the tea.
